Design Story

The Moon Chair is conceived as a tranquil element for daily life, a purposeful crescent form designed for integration within the home environment.  The inspiration stems from the crescent moon — a form deeply rooted in poetry, art, and folklore. It evokes calm transitions, the understated beauty of change, and the gentle rhythm of time. This chair is designed to reflect the softness — not only through its form, but through the experience it offers.

A crescent moon is echoed through the arc that wraps subtly around the user. It offers a sense of enclosure without confinement, creating a space to sit, pause, and shift sideways — whether that’s greeting the morning light with a cup of coffee, catching up with a friend in the afternoon hum, or settling down with a book as the evening fades.

The generously cushioned seat is complemented by a seamlessly integrated lumbar support to ensure comfort over prolonged use. The Moon Chair is intended to integrate into various settings, as living rooms, reading areas, or bedroom spaces, while maintaining a serene and cohesive aesthetic.
